Title: One more question about octave up effects

Looking at the Tyco Octavia schematic, I understand how the octave up part is generated, but I don't see where the fundamental gets through?  I don't get it on the scrambler schematic either.

I've done a search and read all the old octave threads I could find. Obviously, there's something I'm still missing/just not getting.  Can anyone can explain this, or tell me what to look up that will clear this up for me?

Fundamental and other harmonics are passed including sum an difference frequencies and other stuff. Its not a strict either or thing.pl
