Wow, unique would be the word here, I guess.
You must have thrown this thing into Mount Vesuvius or something like that. Or did you throw it in boiling oil along with those Belgian (not French) fries. One Ugly Face with mayonnaise coming up :D

At my local hardware store I can get all kinds of spray-on and brush-on finishes.  Apparently at your local hardware store they also carry "ugly sticks", because this box looks like it has been "whupped and re-whupped" with one.

haha, i'm glad you like the ugly finish of my uglyface ;D

it's a burnt CD (it had powerpuff girls and dexters laboratory cartoons on it) and some plastic wrapping material.

those things melt pretty fast :icon_razz:

i actually used fixative spray (for charcoal drawings) on it so the soot won't come off. that also made the bad smell go away :icon_lol:

-"Bring her down, Smithers."
-"Eh, but sir, you're flying the plane."

Awesome finish.

Freakishly ugly.

I wonder if anyone's brave enough to make a S#@$ Box? Ofcoarse sealing it with the spray you used ASAP!

Maybe call it "Anal Explosion" lol

i've been planning to do a finish with clear epoxy with lots of various insects embedded  8)
actually i should've done it already cos soon it'll be harder to find all those bugs when the weather starts changing

That is definitely different. How do you step on the footswitch with that big old cyclops knob in the middle of the enclosure?!  :icon_lol:

I spray paint my boxes in the backyard, but I was under the impression that imbedded bugs are a BAD thing.  Just to give you guys some idea of my lack of creativity ;). I'm not completely sure anything all TOO organic should be used on these things (body fluids, food, small pets).
Seriously, great work Birt!

Here's a picture of the Ibanez DNA. (Click for a bigger view)  The finish has Steve Vai's blood in it.

Ah, artschool, that explains a lot.
My sister was in artschool too, she was just as "creative" as you are.  ;D  Maybe I'll ask her for some original ideas for finishing my boxes.
