Title: "Best" Trs. or FET amplification
Post by: Tigrar on October 30, 2005, 06:33:12 PM
Hi out there!

I wonder what kind of transistor or FET U like best. (I know I forgot about Oamps).
Ur choice should be still available.

Most interesting for me are those which makes a warm (perhabs tube like) almost noisefree Sound.
(if possible add the used bias).

THX a lot!

Need more information. How much power ? What controls are you looking for ? What features ? etc.

I would need such to build stompboxes. (No Amp, no preamp).
Powersuply would be 9V.

I would build the rest around.

(If U re asking due to the DC blocking cap then tell me if possible at which value a guitar wouldnt be affected by the cap any more.)

THX a lot.
