Title: Cabinet simulator in Yamaha SPX50D
Post by: StephenGiles on January 21, 2006, 02:25:38 PM
I'v had this rack mount unit for what must be 15 years now. It's old technology now of course, just one effect is available at a time, but the effects are very good, especially the delays where using the stereo setting it is possible to simulate the Watkins Copycat tape echo. I have generally used a setting called Early reflections, with parameters to add distortion, adjust for room size and delay, and I found that by setting the distortion level back to 30% the sound is almost identical to that of my Carvin X60 being miked up. Who knows.......I'll be upgrading the opamps next!!!!! :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol:
