Hello!
I'm a new member to this forum but I have been reading post here for a while learning a lot (a lot more then I knew before that is, and I didn't know anything about electronics). Anyway I have built a Fuzz from BYOC and a looper but now i decided it was time to build my first pedal not using a kit.
I bought a premade PCB and soldered on the components and it doesn't work of course. :)
I start to debug and find 2 obvious errors in the layout and the PCB, being a beginner this is all very confusing and I start to suspect that the layout might have more errors.
This is the layout
(http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b133/BigD666/ts808.gif)
1.The connection that I marked with red are not present on the actual PCB and from what I can find from other layouts like the one at Tonepad it isn't supposed to be there anyway so that shouldn't be a problem.
2. The red dotted line marks a connection that is present on the PCB but not on the layout. This confuses me. It has to be an error because that connection bypasses the 510k resistor.
Are there any more obvious errors in this layout?
The 100uf cap confuses me. I can't find it in the Tonepad layout or in other schematics that I have checked but they do use a 100uf cap in the BYOC screamer clone.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
/David
Why don't you try tonepad's layout. It's 100% ok
oh boy, there's another error in the connection u have marked. it's not from pin 8 to 1k res, but from pin 8 to +9v input (in parallel w/ 10k res).
search for another pcb in tonepad and ggg
and, i hope this help:

Because I have already bought the PCB and soldered the parts. I didn't want to make my own pcb because it seemed to difficult but then I found this guy who sold pre made pcb:s for fx pedals. I just assumed they would be correct.

Thanks for the links. It really helped to get the pin numbers. So if I have read this correctly I could solve this by cutting the connection I have marked with a dotter red line and then put a jumper between pin 8 and +9v?
yeah, but search for more errors (i'm too lazy to do that (yeah, i'm a beginner too))
Yes it works! :)
Thanks!
