Title: Who else has a double muff?
Post by: aron on August 26, 2006, 02:16:34 PM
I was mapping out mine to try a simple conversion of one of them to germanium (maybe only the 1st one in the circui).

Mapping is cool, I forget exactly what a Double Muff would look like, schematic wise.

HEY! Wouldn't that be(more or less) a germanium fuzz face with clipping diodes on the output?

aron, I have one with switchable Si/Ge diodes.
Ge is just a quieter/softer dist, quite nice though !
With Ge, it misses the normal BM vol recovery a little :D
( but is still loud enough IMO )

I do, but I can't get to it (it is being shipped).  I've had sockets & trim pots sitting around waiting to go in there for a while, but it hasn't gotten done.
