Title: tonepad flakey?
Post by: microbe on October 01, 2006, 11:58:52 AM
So, i placed an order for a PCB last sunday, (ts808) and emailed them about the status of shipping around thursday.
they replied saying they hadn't received my payment.
i replied with my paypal transaction number, everything that paypal sent me that showed they confirmed and accepted the payment.
Haven't heard a peep since.

what's the deal?

has anyone had success recently with them?

I would say a good majority of people on this forum have had good success with them...

I've never heard anything bad about them at all.
I beleive they are both members of this board.
Perhaps there is a glitch on PayPal's side, that would be my guess.

Lots of customers all the time, an order is bound to get 'misplaced' sometimes.

I've already emailed mr microbe.

Just to help, I have always had great experience with tonepad. And their build quality is absolutely impressive.

I've  had a simlar recent experience with Paypal (but not Tonepad).

I had done a transaction with a parts dealer on eBay, returned some parts and when the dealer refunded my money we both got the usual Paypal confirmation email but I didn't see the actual money transaction (in my bank) for like 6 days after the email was sent, and this was a VISA credit card transaction which should have been instant (or like next day).

paypal has a reputation for being a pain in the ass. That's probably the problem, microbe.
