Title: 3 way switch on an amp's built in EQ. Would this work?
Post by: MadSkillzMan on October 29, 2006, 01:17:17 AM
Hey guys. Someone tell me, if, or im gonna assume why, this wouldnt work.

Ive got a Carvin X100b. Beutiful amp. Has a built in graphic EQ. Thing is you can only assign the EQ to 1 channel at a time, either clean or overdrive via an A/B switch.

Well it REALLY alters the sound of the channel, and has somewhat of a volume boost.

SOOO

Seems to me i could just insert a 3 way toggle switch, A, A+B, B and i could go from clean channel, to both, to overdrive

Would it be that simple? Or am i going to have to research this a bit more?

Thanks in advance guys. Sorry its not more pedal related

sorry, i don't know about your question, but carvin.com has discussion boards.  there's one for amps and there's a tech one.

maybe check those:

I posted there first, and got no real responses. The techs there do some amazing jobs. Maybe ill take another shot at it. The vibe i get there most of the time though is just take it to a tech, rather DIY
