Could somebody post what they think a noob should have in his parts box?
I am most curious about parts in the guts.
There must be many similarities and parts that get used again and again.
Thanks.
this same question gets asked every so often http://www.diystompboxes.com/wiki/index.php?title=StockingYourBench :)
Something that wasn't noted on the Wiki is Futurlec's value packs for caps, resistors, trannies, and diodes (all quite useful!):

If you're looking for super-HQ components, you'll have to buy poly-film caps, silver mica caps, and metal film resistors individually, but this works great for me ;)
Have a look at Small Bear electronics, the Tweek-O article.
