Title: Proximity Control
Post by: PedroTejada on November 09, 2006, 12:25:02 PM
Hi! ;D
I'm from Brazil, so my English is very "basic".
I will try to explain:
I'm Building a Proximity Control from Topopiccione---> http://topopiccione.atspace.com/PJ16TPCInvisibleTouch.html.
I want use this circuit in a wah or in a fuzz.
In a wah it's simple to connect the circuit (Led/LDR), but for me is very hard to find a Inductor so, i need one wah project without Inductor.
If i use the Circuit in a Fuzz: i don't know how to connect the circuit in my Fuzz...I saw in some Brazilian Friends Sites and in some cases the fuzz have the Drive control and the surface of control..Where i connect the Control Circuity?
Thanks, Pedro Tejada  :icon_biggrin:
PS: Sorry About the English :icon_redface:

 Here's a link to an inductorless wah, looks pretty cool to me:

http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=25279.msg165637#msg165637 (http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=25279.msg165637#msg165637)

However, the fx25 they mentioned is also an inductorless wah like circuit, and well suited to this kind of control.
One thing to think about is that they mention this circuit is still in the testing phase and that they have had mixed results.

Hello, welcome the board.

Tim Escobedo's Ghost Dance and Idiot Wah from http://www.geocities.com/tpe123/folkurban/fuzz/snippets.html (http://www.geocities.com/tpe123/folkurban/fuzz/snippets.html) are inductorless wahs.  I haven't built either, so I can't tell you how goos they are.  However, Tim's circuits are usually very good.
