Title: Different opamps for Script-Logo Phase 90?
Post by: Burstbucker on December 09, 2006, 04:00:20 PM
I just received a kit for building a "Script-Logo" Phase 90 pedal from Build Your Own Clone.  Included are six Texas intruments UA741CP op amps, which apparently are what came in the original Phase 90 pedals.

What difference if any, is there between using these UA741CP opamps instead of some TL071 opamps which are the opamps that are included in their "Block-Logo" Phase 90 kit?

the TL071s probably sound clearer (the 741s are practically the first mass produced opamp ICs ever made from the end of the 60s onwards allready and better opamps have been designed since then)
