Title: Tonemender Question
Post by: fikri on April 17, 2007, 01:34:55 PM
Hi !

I have seen the tonemender project and i'd love to build one. I would like to have the tonemender as a clean preamp, is it suitable for such thing ?

i have seen a project from RDV "not so simple preamp" i think it is similar with the tonemender but with a transistor at the output, do you think having the extra transistor at the output of tonemender will get me closer to what i needed ?

Thanks

Hi friend,
I used a Tonemender as a preamp in a home made amplifier
and its very good sounding, and have a good headroom. Really
good choice. Have fun.

Thx

The Tonemender is the best clean boost/ preamp I've ever heard. Until you build it, you won't fully appreciate it. The description of the different freq curves is correct on the Runoffgroove site. You can nail almost any tone with this one. Highly recommended.
Build it. You will be happy.
