First of all, thanks to the forum for helping me troubleshoot my newly acquired Ross Flanger. i saw in another post that someone suggested the trimpots were the culprit and sure enough, in my case they were.
I was wondering, what is a good way to add an LED to my flanger? Since this thing is plugging directly into the wall, I'm a bit timid about trying to wire one up. I'd definitely like to add true bypass as well and I'll probably do so with a 3PDT switch I have on hand. Any suggestions?
I too am interested in this but for a MXR Flanger which is basically the same thing as the ross. Any help?
Like an on off led?
yeh, jimilee, same question:
A] on/off LightEmittingDiode
or
B] modulation LightEmittingDiode
or
C] input signal strength LightEmittingDiode
or
D] a winky blinky do nothing LightEmittingDiode(maybe several?)
or
E] pick two
F] pick one
G] pick your nose
H] pick your guitar
I] don't care what you pick ;D :D :icon_lol:
I don't know what any of that means but none of it was helpful
What do you want the LED to do?
If you go with a 3PDT true bypass the circuits have "engaged" or "on" LEDs in them already, anything else (such as having a winky rate LED or similar) is a bit more involved...
More than anything I just want to have the pedal be true bypass. Adding a led is secondary. The pedal is currently not set up for true bypass, has no led, and has the built in cable. There are really no clear directions as top how to make these units true bypasd anywhere on the internet. And on off led would be perfect. Doesn't need to be fancy or anything

don't hack up the ross, for christ's sake.
build a loop box. put the ross in the loop, left on.
do the switching with the loop box. easy.
Yeah I concede the Jim is right - check out some little TBP loop kits, fun easy builds, cost little, will be useful until the day they die
My first build of anything was actually a RoadRage (branded) mini-true bypass - only it an my Vox multi spend more time on my board than off it.
