Hey all.
I was wondering if there is a simple design for a blend pot to put in the send/return part of a true bypass box. I really want to be able to control how much of the effect is really in my signal.
I have seen projects with all these buffers and such. I was thinking something simple. I know the guitar blend pot is a simple design... could something like this be done?

you need the buffer sections you keep seeing to keep the resistance of the blend pot from loading the guitar signal. the buff n' blend pcb in my gallery ends up less than an inch square, has like 8-10 parts, and is uber simple and will keep impedances in check. just note that on the layout the transistor is reversed from what it should be.

the pnp transfer is in the same gallery. i've corrected the transistor pinout so the layout in the gallery is correct and verified.
I've never made a board, Is it as hard as it seems?
not at all, but if you've never made one you would have some materials to buy. it is simple enough though that you could perf it if you like. or John Lyons would likely etch you one from my latout for a minimal price if you like. he also has a great tutorial for etching pcb's using photopaper and such:
