Title: newb question - electro cap orientation
Post by: chad on August 06, 2007, 01:40:36 PM
my brain has somehow become mashed potatoes over the last month.
that said, would someone kindly remind me which side of an electrolytic capacitor i should connect to the the + symbol  according to a layout? the side with the stripe?
i'm in the middle of building a pulsar clone and i'm having trouble finding this info with the search function.
many thanks!

The side without a stripe is the positive and the side with the stripe is the negative.

If you are going to use capacitors in parallel they must be positive with positive or negative with negative. If they will be used in series they should go positive with negative and so on.
