Title: Using Line matching tranny as output tranny
Post by: Zben3129 on December 22, 2007, 11:10:32 PM
Hi guys,

I did some forum searches, but can't find a good description anywhere-

I have a transformer which reads -

c, 4ohm, 8ohm      on 1 side

and

c,20w,15w,10w,5w      on the other side. It also says "70v" on this side

The question is, how would I set this up as an output tranny for a tube amp?

Thanks

I googled and found articles on transformer identifying, or was it transformer suitability, GEO has article on ferreting out tranny windings and suitability for amp projects, Aiken Amplification too IIRC, Hoffman ?
Involves various high voltages and better left as whole article on available page, much better info than what I can type up here on the fly.
