Title: GE-7 mod confusion
Post by: Papa_lazerous on March 09, 2008, 09:14:30 PM
Hi all, got myself a cheapish GE-7 off of evil-bay, hiss as you would expect.  So I get some opamps at the ready and some new caps, going to mod it monte allum stylee ;)

problem though.  My board is later than the board I have seen reference to prevously on a mod I have seen before. IC 1 2 3 are JRC 5011G I cant even find a pinout for them :s IC4 is usually a 8pin DIL JRC4558 on this its a 8 pin all in a single line chip JRC 5034G

infact the board is completely different to what I have seen before.  Anyone know about this for modding?  I am thinking thats the labelling is the same on the board so R1 is the same on this board to the previous but dont know

ideas appreciated

If you send me a gut shot I can compare it to mine.  Mine's an old MIJ.  Someone will probably beat me to helping though... ;D  Gotta love this place.

I just changed the 3 op-amps for TL082's (I was a little short on 072's) and replaced the 3 1uF electros for film.  left everything else as stock.  Much quieter
