Title: so what is this?
Post by: foxfire on April 13, 2008, 10:25:32 PM
i pulled it and a few others like it out of an organ. the second pic is a bit blurry but, there are a total of 6 actual leads on this thing. i tested all the leads for continuity and, the 3 pairs of leads 90ยบ to each other all seem to have continuity with each other. the lead off by itself does not have continuity with any of the other leads. so is it an inductor?

Looks like a tapped inductor with a support pin.

Did you do some continuity tests on the leads.  Might be an adjustable inductance (with the screw).
