Title: Expanding the BMP Tone Control- AMZ site
Post by: jimbob on June 27, 2008, 06:29:49 PM
Has anyone tried this? I thought about adding it to my big muff w a bypass switch for each. Is it a waste of time? It really doesnt describe the difference it makes to the overall sound. Im curious.

Jacks mods are usually really nice.
I'd try these out. I've been meaning to toy some of those.

I have used the "AMZ presence control" mod which is a mid control which adds mids back to the big muff tone control.
Worked well and was a nice addition I think.

Another thing to try is to bypass the tone stack altogether to boost the entire signal as well as bringing back the mids.
Just put both the grounded cap and resistor points on a switch and when you hit the switch you lift them from ground.
I got that from Mark Hammer.
