Title: 555 Variants
Post by: AzzR on August 21, 2008, 03:36:07 AM
Will an LM555 work in a Crash Sync. It's the only CMOS timer I can obtain without going online.

Which timer is the best choice?

I haven't built it myself, but looking at the schematic, any 555 at all should work.
Incidentally, the LM555 is not cmos.

Also wrong datasheets. I am using a TLC555 which is CMOS but aparantly has a higher impedence than the NE555.

Im still trying to figure out exactly how this pedal works so I may be way off here but could the higher impedence mean that the guitar signal is not enough to reset the osscillator?
