Anyone have the Carlsbro Flanger schematic?
(english made...1974 era)
thanks
john
A lot of their stuff is Colorsound based, maybe some luck that way?
Hmmm, thanks for that tip. I'll look into it.
That being said...do you have a colorsound flange schematic or link?
thanks
john

I don't have the schematic, but I've owned two of these - one bought new in '76 and the other bought used from Musical Exchanges when they had their fire sale (about '96 I think).
The flanger could be given a drastic improvement in sweep depth and richness by coupling the LDR to the LED positive side with a small capacitor - can't remember exactly what value, could have been about 2.2n. I modded both and was really pleased with the result. Both of my models only had a single LED/LDR - don't know if there were any variations in circuit over the years.
This is the Carlsbro Chorus. I should think that the flanger is pretty similar.

It is a very badly drawn circuit - a real muddle!

Thanks for the schematic Stephan, I'll check it out to see if it's similar

So by "couple" do you mean to put a cap from one side of the LDR to the + side of the LED?
Does it matter which side of the LDR? Please explain if I'm wrong here. Thanks
John

I tried it and it works for me. Hmmm :icon_question:
Anyway; that schem is from the Schematics section of this site.
