Title: Need source for 1/8" jacks (headphone size)
Post by: svstee on March 27, 2009, 06:01:40 PM
Where is the best place to pick up 1/8" mono and stereo input type (female) jacks? I check ebay with little luck. I need around 10 of each. I'm Building a few "smokey" style headphone amps for me and some friends, and I want to use stereo jack for the output on them and connect the battery so that all you have to do to turn it off is unplug your headphones. I need the mono ones for some misc. projects.

Thanks.

3.5mm is standard for headphone jacks, I think. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks for the link, I didn't think to check futurlec. Those PCB mount ones look perfect.

3.5mm is common for earbuds and other ipod type headphones, but for studio headphones, 1/4" is the way to go (which is what most headphone amps have).

Yeah, but these are just going to be cheapo little practice amps built for portability.

Thanks, I'll probably order some soon.
