Im sure this has been asked before but...
So yeah ive got my pedal board done but im bored and just want to keep building :P
this is what I have:
comprossor>wah>ts9>fuzz>rocktave>small clone>easyvibe>rebote delay>tremulus>volume>
and have already built:
uno/ross phaser/mxr+/bigmuff/thor/omnidrive/mayqueen/EAtremolo/doubleD/foxxToneMachine/box of roxk/blues breaker/hysterius/crashsync/bluebox.
so i feel ive covered most of the distortions
im really happy with my vibe/chorus/delay
i dont care for those doctor q type funky sounds/shapers
what is left for me to build?
the only thing i could find that sounds cool is the maestro synth which requires a rare chip i cant find.
maybe i need a new hobby, like playing guitar :o

... or building guitars? ;) ;D
This will keep you busy for a while...

Caution: can become highly addictive ;D
"Class C" acoustic sustainer by Maniac Music will give more features to each of your effects.

Something different, anyway.

The ultimate stomp box??
I could just imagine becoming addicted to those too. My office would turn into a wall of speakers.
Could be cool though. Kinda makes me itchy.......
All you really need is a flanger. The A/DA, perhaps?
My take on this is you can't have too many distortion / overdrive pedals. There are so many that sound so different that they are unique. One or two OD-distortions can't sum up all the great tones in a nutshell. My latest builds are the DS-1 / SD-1 and the simple Metal Simplex. These don't sound like anyif my other distortions I've built to date. Just my thoughts if you run out if build ideas.
Sell all your stuff and start all over! :D
Naah, just kidding. But when i was in your position last time, i got rid of (sold, mostly) the pedals that i didn't use much, or at all. That kinda cleared my head, gave some new ideas and not to mention cash to fund my new projects! :)
The Tycobrahe Octavia and maybe a standalone buffer is my suggestion.
Try to design something maybe?http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/richardo/distortion/index.html (http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/richardo/distortion/index.html)I was only reading this last night.
if you can do further than building from premade layouts, there are infinite possibilities on creating your own sounds.
If not it may be a good time to tart the real learning, now you have the basic ideas and techniques for building
How about an FV-1 based reverb? Or a ring modulator, or some kind of sequencer (vanishing point, geofex), or lo fi looper using answering machine chips (like Payback), or a "bit crusher" type aliaser like the Nyquist aliaser or the Experimentalistanonymous opamp version.
Or, with a herd of pedals, one box to rule them all, like a bypass looper, to turn them all of with one button, or a splitter/blend pedal.
Get into tubes. It is very addicting, I must warn you, but the tones are awesome and it is a great feeling to play a guitar you made, through stompboxes you made, into an amp that you made. Next on my list is a tube mic from scratch. Then I guess I have to build an audio interface and then fab my own computer. Ok, those last two won't really work, but expanding beyond just stompboxes makes for a REALLY long list of to-do's that won't get done any time soon.
Thanks for the tips guys, especially Processaurus, i think an old tape delay from cassette to cassette could be fun, oh and fv-1 does pitch shift :D ... also might make my way into the dark world of synth building but that could be next winter...
Building ada flanger now... with nte1641 as mn3007 and trying to run it of 9v
My amp is a highly modded $200 50w crate 6v6 tube w/reverb im happy with for now .. I was going to build a 5e3/plexi a while ago, got all the part cept the transformers/speaker and found they cost so much! Then found some site that had a step by step guild to building an amp out of transformers you find in scrap but i cant find that page now.. i got this transformer of an old 100w music amp, the thing is HEAVY.. here ill take a pic.. http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/9904/img0309r.jpg really old school i think its 1 power and 2 audio's.. silver ones have some kind of resin in them... so i just need to figure which circuit these transformers would be good for.
also have these spare ic's i need to find a use for http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/9617/img0311bb.jpg
anyway thx for replies guys :) :) :) :) :) :)
Yeah I think building a guitar would be a great option, but it's a big journey, as you can see what I did:

yeah i already looked into building guitars, i came to the conclusion that its just better for me to get 100$ cheapies and hack them up... like my latest with seymour duncan's ssl-1 and blackout

5way-switch is single/single-hum(70%volume cut)/hum cut/hum full/hum full which gives me a boost on the guitar
haven't found nice pick guard yet so just paper glued on, i think white is ugly with sunburst, which may get sanded off or covered with stickers...
everything must be tweaked :icon_exclaim:
