Post by: numpty on October 07, 2009, 06:17:05 AM
where can i obtain the recommended 4k to 1 meg ldr's and a suitable wide range bulb in the UK? I understand you have to experiment with some resistors in the mixing circuit for the best result - can some body explain which ones and the procedure  - are they R35 R36 ? ???
also I cannot find a dual stereo audio taper pot with a long metal shaft to fit a crybaby type pedal only rubbish plastic ones. Could anybody advise me please ?

One of Keen's Laws says that building it out of whatever you can get your hands on sounds 100% better than leaving it half-built and zero-functional while you wait for the magical "right" parts to be hauled in from Timbuktu by yak-cart. Slap in what you can get, improve it as parts become available.

Don't know if it's a law, but it sure is a good advice.
