Title: heat shrinking Ge trannies?
Post by: johnny5 on March 03, 2010, 04:05:54 PM
I am building a tone bender and want to put heat shrink on the Ge transistor leads so that they don't short on each other. I am concerned about adding too much heat to them as they are so heat sensitive. Should I have this concern? Or go ahead and put heat shrink and heat gun to them?

Thanks!

Don't put heat shrink on them. Just strip some shielding off of a wire and use that.
