Title: 200uf electolytic radial in the uk, for big muff?
Post by: wormfooduk on September 22, 2010, 05:42:01 PM
I'm just about to order some components and can't find a 200uf electrolytic cap from my normal suppliers (banzai-music and dasmusikding) it doesnt seam to be a very comon size as most places go 100uf then 220uf. do i have any other options, what effect would using 2 caps in the place of the 200uf have or using a 220uf?

This is the schematic ive been basing my layout on

Just use 220uF, it's just a power supply filtering cap, its value isn't all that important aslong as it's highish (above 100uF) also remember Electrolytics tend to have 20% Tollerance so that could be 44uF off anyway.

I was thinking it was in a place where it wouldn't make any odds, good to hear. Thanks for the reply
