Title: I have made a crunch box but i'm not think it's dist enough
Post by: Thugpoet on October 20, 2010, 01:02:14 PM
I have made a crunch box but i was not satisfied with the sound.

Though i turn the gain to the top, it's more like a overdrive than a distortion and the dist sound were not so clearly.Even more, the sound was too dark.

All the caps and resistances were refer to http://www.aronnelson.com/gallery/main.php/v/MarkMs-Gallery/album15/album76/Crunch_d_Box_LAYOUT_001.gif.html

You have built it wrongly. This can be caused by incorrect component values, component placement or soldering.

Build an audio probe and trace through the circuit to the point where it doesn't sound right.

Hi,
perhaps this is because of C9. On the plan from MarkM it´s 2,2uF. On the other plan (Madbean?) it´s 2,2nF.
