Title: got the flatline comp working ...but!
Post by: davepedals on March 30, 2011, 11:10:18 PM
my flatline comp was giving me major problems with distortion but after some major checking/re-checking i found two resistors touching that shouldn't have been! it works now but the volume pot doesn't kick in at all until about two clicks towards the end. used a100k pots for vol and sustain. the only substitute was a 390k rather than a 220k resistor as recommended by many folks here.  any ideas?
used the john hollis rev-101 vero layout shown here:  http://www.aronnelson.com/gallery/main.php/v/ulysses/ulysses_layouts/ulysses_jh_flatline_compressor/ (http://www.aronnelson.com/gallery/main.php/v/ulysses/ulysses_layouts/ulysses_jh_flatline_compressor/)  oh- also using vactrol VTL5C2
thanks!

Use 100k Logaritimc pot for volume (if you don't use allready).

as mentioned, i used a100k pots, that = logarithmic pots.
anyone else have any ideas why the volume only works about two clicks from all the way up?  bad pot..nope, tried three pots.

thanks.
