Title: Uglyface threshold question.
Post by: digi2t on April 02, 2011, 12:22:01 AM
Hi all,
Not long ago, I built an Uglyface, with the LFO mod. It`s sounds pretty groovy, except for one little thing. When I`m dialing up the threshold, I have a spot in the range, about 5 degrees on the dial, where I get a lot of...noise... for lack of a better term. It`s like a no man`s land between no LFO, and where the LFO comes online. Never really a problem per say, but it intrigues me.

Is this typical to the Uglyface, or did I muck something up?

Cheers,
Dino

  Self oscillation border.
When turning that pot in fine-tune fashion [as all UF tryer-outers tend to do since it makes it shuts up or goes wild when crossing over/crossing back].
it tends to 'glitch into' an almost-sustaining self oscillation.

Thanks Pete. Like I said, never really bothered me, just curious is all.
