Good idea!
OR...
Sell it and have almost enough $ to build Madbean's MXR117 clone (entire pedal) using an MN3007.
Such a decision.
Oh! The humanity! :icon_lol:

Darn it Dave!
I shoulda thought of that one! :icon_lol:
good idea... but the link doesn't seem active for the mxr... maybe i'll just sell it... or trade it for some boxes...
If you're going to use it, definitely a flanger of some kind, preferably one that sweeps way, way, up!

A/DA.... the flanger most popular with dogs and bats. :D
Put it a safe!
Sell it when your older and retire.
The various recommendations to either hang onto it, or use it to build a flanger of some kind (preferably A/DA), are well-founded.
I was recently willing to let two of mine go to a buddy who needed to repair an old SCAMP S24 ( http://rapidshare.com/files/85464364/Scamp_S24.rar ) in his studio. There are plenty more classic and rare rackmount time-based units that absolutely rely on SAD1024s to work. These not only provide a market for the chips, but I think there is also a sort of "ethical obligation" to plan around keeping them alive by whatever means possible. We have collectively figured out plenty of ways to get decent flanging from chips that ARE still available, although certainly the Reticon chips make dramatic flanging easier to achieve. Still, given the choice between yet another Electric Mistress or MXR clone, and something like the S24, I know where my allegiances lie.
Reality check. Mark Hammer. Voice of reason. Save/sell for repairs. Keep those vintage f/x alive! Build w/newer BBD's...
Flanger love!

PS: Thanks Mark!
