The DigiTech Expression Factory is glitching out with more regularity and the Univibe setting is valuable, so it may be my next build. I have read as much info as possible to prepare for what will be my most complex build so far as pedals go.
A couple of questions:
How to power- is a max1044 doubler a good option, or is there better?
The lamp driver is already working hard, can a display LED in sync with the lamp be added (LED and series resistor in parallel with lamp) for the top of the enclosure?

Don't think the MAX1044 will be able to supply enough current for this circuit. Not sure though.

It's a huge, complicated circuit that does not translate well to vero. The PCB is available from General Guitar Gadgets and is well worth the price, even if you're only getting minimum wage. It will be less time to work for the money to get the PCB than to do the vero. And the PCB is known to work.
Please take R.G's advice! The PCB might cost a few bucks, but it will save you so many headaches if it doesn't work right away, which it probably will because the PCB is so damn good!
Besides, if you're looking for reliability, you can't beat a through-plated glassfibre PCB with soldermask ;)
The project will start with a pre-fab pcb :) I am thick-headed, but still try to take advice!
