I made the switch to a 3PDT switch.
based off of this stie...
http://www.singlecoil.com/docs/russian_muff.pdf
the problem i'm having is that it seems they completely left off a key wire. On the 2nd lug of my Sustain knob, theres a wire going to the board, and a second wire from the same lug going to the upper left hand side of the old switch. Nowhere in the instructions on that site, does it tell me where to solder that wire.
I wired it to the "effect in" spot on my new 3PDT switch and the pedal works, but the sustain knob reacts funny. So i'm not sure if this is right. Zero and 10 on the sustain knob create a big volume loss, i get the most gain when its at about 10 o'clock.
can anyone maybe help me out here?
thanks.
Ignore and remove the wire going to the switch. It grounds out the signal at the Sustain pot when in bypass mode.

when i remove it, then the pedal only works in bypass mode. when i turn the muff on, i get nothing.
I went with the General Guitar Gadget's 3PDT switch layout and now everything is working great. :)
You were correct, i got it working without that extra wire. Thanks.
