Title: True bypass switch question
Post by: JohnForeman on July 04, 2012, 06:46:36 AM
Hi all.  I just finished my first build.  I'm wondering about the bypass switch.  When the pedal is in bypass mode, does it drain the battery?  I used the offboard wiring from tonepad.  I'm currently using a battery only and want to know if I have to unplug the guitar cable when I'm not playing/practicing/driving the wife crazy..
Thanks

the battery's normally "switched" with a stereo input jack....so, yes, if you wired it that way, you need to unplug

the battery switching should have nothing to do with the 3PDT switch....that's normally for input, output & led
