Title: Free electronics bits available in London, UK
Post by: elshiftos on October 17, 2012, 06:00:50 AM
Sorry if this is OT - mods please move if necessary.

My dept at work is being drastically downsized and as a result I have various components, test gear, computer bits etc that need to go.

Items will be boxed and available for collection only from the Notting Hill area of London. Sorry all you non-UKers and those that can't travel but that's the way it is  :-\

Let me know if this is of any interest to you guys and I'll post the items on here when they become available.

Cheers!

For starters:

Weller DS801 desoldering station

and

http://tinyurl.com/bl695v2 (see descriptions, you can get a hi-res pic if you download it)

I'm at work so I don't really have time to mess about with PM's or splitting items, so it might be best if you sort out what you want between you and duke it out!  ;)

Can I bagsy the power supply stuff please?  Is that how we're doing it??

I'd like the desolder station as well if nobody else does, but I think it'd be greedy to put dibs on two items.

If anyone else wants the psu stuff, I suggest we settle it with paper, scissors, stone.

Ready.....

Scissors

If anyone picks up those components from Steve, I'm interested in buying few of E813CC tubes provided they want to ship to continental europe.
I've been dying to try them for a while.

Cheers,
Bane

Ok, if nobody else wants the components I most certainly would love to bag them, and I'd be more than happy to post the valves to Bane.

But again, I don't want to be greedy.....(that's a lie, I do really).

BTW Steve, my company supplies very expensive workbenches to electronics manufacturers.  This is us www.humanworkspace.co.uk (http://www.humanworkspace.co.uk)

If you want a freebie bench, for use at home or at work, in exchange for any of your stuff that nobody else snaps up the deal is yours....

EDIT
Sorry, that's not meant as a bribe.  Please feel free to distribute the stuff to whoever wants it, really I'm happy with just the psu stuff.  It's just that I have a couple of spare benches in my garage, and I'd like to repay your generousity.

Oh I feel terrible now.

Not expecting anything in return so that's very kind of you to offer. I might take you up on it but do you have a model/specs I could look at before I do?

Rob H - was there anything you wanted before Mark snaffles the lot?  ;)
