Title: Splitter to drive 2 amps from one pedal.
Post by: Pyr0 on October 24, 2012, 10:18:23 AM
Hi all,
I'm trying to make a splitter to add into a bass modified Rat so I can drive two separate amps. One of the amps is an an old bass amp with a built in octave down effect.
To avoid possible ground loops, etc. Should I use something like RG's transformer coupled splitter from geofex, or is there an easier way.

thanks

Do both amps have three-wire power cords?

Yes, all mains operated devices here have to have an earth.

Hmm. Maybe not too bad. Try it without a splitter before worrying. If both are plugged into the same AC wall outlet, that forces any leakage to the same potential, so you have a good chance at it.
