Title: deticking an easyvibe...
Post by: artsinbloodshed on November 08, 2012, 02:51:11 PM
i've seen (browsing at ampage) that we can detick a zombie chorus;
I was wondering if we could detick an easyvibe kind of the same way. it really ticks (especially with an overdrive/distortion after it)
It shows a 10uf cap across the comparator but it still ticks.
I've tried to reduce and raise the value of the cap but only increasing it barely works.
Side effect, it reduces the avilable speed of the wobbles...
so, does a a Vref tweak would do the trick (too)?
thanks

The proper way to de-tick these is by using a good grounding scheme that keeps signal and LFO grounds totally separate except for a star point connection as close to the supply (or main decoupling capacitor) as possible
