Fuzz Factory Clone acting up

Hi guys,

I've been hanging around reading up on loads of information and i've recently finished my second build, a Fuzz Factory clone from Musikding.de

I've been through the schematic a dozen times and the pedal works but something just seems off. When i plug my guitar straight into the pedal and the pedal straight in the amp, the only useable gain i get from the drive knob is in the last quarter. When i put a nobels ODR1 in front of it (without turning it on) the pedal just gives me a farting fuzz from 0-10 on the drive knob. What is causing this change in the behaviour of the pedal and how could i fix it ?

Are the transistors oriented correctly?

Yup, i verified with the schematic and they're in correctly, when i hook up my boss rv5 after it, it reacts perfectly normal by the way, it's weird.
