I am repainting one for a guy and he want's his band's logo along with the original graphic. I stripped it and repainted it yellow. But now I'm stuck because I can't find my DOD OD 250 that I was going to scan and recreate the graphic. (I think I loaned it or something)

My question/ request is that if one of you kind souls would scan the graphic on yours and send it my way. I have already searched high and low for a useable graphic online but with no success.

Just sold mine about a month ago. Or I woulda scanned it for ya.

Should be pretty easy to recreate that graphic though its a simple design layout. If I where to do it I would need dimensions on where the holes are etc since I don't have one on hand.

Just spit balln, threw this together real fast to see how easy it would be. I didn't have dimensions yet so I just sorta free styled this using a few Google images for reference.

Maybe its good enough if not I can do something higher rez and cleaner

Very nice. Just to be accurate to the model the logo position and text slightly changed from time to time. Do you know what the 7-digit pot codes and IC code are for dating the unit or maybe you have a general photo of the pedal before you repainted it? I can give you examples later from my home computer how the graphics varied slightly unless that level of accuracy doesn't matter to your friend.

@ Steve   I looked and the pot code is  R1378111   and it uses a tl081cp
It's terribly constructed  thin wire and really bad soldering. Looks like they threw a handfull of components at a board and soldered them where they land  :icon_lol:

@ stachio   Wow    that's great work    I drew this up lastnight but was waiting for the mid-day rush.  And the measurements are the flat useable space not wall to wall

That date code says 1981 so that's when the pot was made, and based on the chip it should be the 2nd yellow 250 model probably from 1982. The very first yellow 250's came out either mid-1980 or 1981 and were identical to the grey 250 using the same PCB with the 741 chip.

Here's one I did recently, but with the power on top, and no DOD logo.  Mustachio's looks pretty good.

I can post the vector of the graphic if you want.

Oh thanks, the only problem with that one is the placement of the 9vdc. I could change it of course but I think i could work with Jim's better.

Thats a beautiful clone! nice work!

Ill see what I can do later tonight with the dimension's and make something at 300dpi so it prints nice. I gotta try to draw a schematic for the mutron micro v for rob now and I'm pretty bad at drawing schematics.
