Bass Chorus Mod Question?

I am modding a chorus or two for better use with bass. I want to restrict bass in the chorusing section. Where is the best place to restrict the bass, on the input of the modulation circuitry, or at the end, where it mixes with the straight signal (which will remain untouched.)
