noob bluetooth questions

Will a host (computer, iThing, etc) accept two identical Bluetooth keyboards simultaneously? 

I want to make a keyboard split into two halves, with no connecting wires between them or the host device, and I'd like to use the same bluetooth module in each half for simplicity.

...but I don't have anything bluetooth in my house to try.

hmmm....not sure on that,  when you receive/send stuff via bluetooth you can set a 4 digit pin number, but i wouldn't have thought a bluetooth

keyboard/mouse would expect to ever need to do that....unless the pin side of things is on the driver software?......hmmm i need more coffee...

I mean I assume you can set up two HID device profiles, right? 
Obviously one can have a BT mouse and keyboard on at the same time.  Pretty sure I've seen that in action.
I assume one could have a BT keyboard and a BT device (e.g. a barcode scanner) set up to output keyboard data.

Seems like at this point one could say "...ergo, two keyboards will work." But my Google results have not been very definite.

It depends on the "iThing". Bluetooth devices all have a unique ID so it really depends if the product you are trying to control will allow 2 keyboards at once or not. I've seen products that allow multiple devices of the same type but will only connect to one at a time, others that allow multiple connections at the same time and others that will pair to only one of a given device type at a time. So it depends on the target product and if it allows it.
