ahem....don't buy mn3005's on fleabay

i went looking tonite... and noticed that all the pages advertising them had exactly the same layouts...one of two, and all pointing apparently to the same sh*t.

they are all rebranded mn3008's. the same things as the ones smallbear has...but steve has the integrity to warn that they are not the 4096 stage chips, and that you need to put them in series.

way to go steve daniels. a better price, too. i shoulda checked before i got screwed.

that said... quick email exchange between me and one of the alter egos of my vendor (whom i contacted about the chip being bogus and haven't heard back from yet...and whom i reported to ebay for selling bogus chips)

how do you know it's a 3005? do you have any way to test it?
