I'm converting a crybaby into an expression pedal for a Meatballs clone. The expression pedal recommended is a Bespeco VM18L, which has a 20k ohm pot. The 105Q crybaby uses a 20k pot so I was going to use that. Do you guys think it will work? I've read that crybabies use a different style linear pot compared to standard linear pots. Is there anything cheaper that you guys would recommend?

the pot should be OK.

A detail not to forget though, is that the connections between the meatball and your exp pedal should be isolated from ground.

Hmmmmm.....I was actually gonna add a looper and a small bass booster in the wah enclosure since there is so much extra room. Would these cause a problem since the looper and the booster would be grounded to the case. Any suggestions in how I can isolate the pot and the stereo output jack from the case?

you need to ue plastic jacks that don't contact the enclosure

Easy enough, but what about the potentiometer. Wouldn't that be ground to the body? Anyway in isolating it? Maybe other pot options?

the pot's body is touching ground but not the lugs (unless you soldered a lug to the body) so you should be ok

Thanks for the help!! Now do you, or if anyone else knows, of any other pot I can mod and use since the dunlop ones are kinda expensive?
