I've got parts for a mini booster but no 10pf. I've got 2 100pf so I could series them for 50pf. I believe this cap is meant to shunt rf but i'm guessing if the value gets too large it could start shunting high frequencies in the audible range??  Anyone know if 50 or 100pf would be acceptable in this circuit??  Thanks

You are correct about it's function.. You can go above 100pf without an issue.  I'd stay below 1000pf, unless you want to gently roll some treble.

Yeah you are correct, it's there to shunt RF, build you circuit without it and next time you need to order any components, add it to your order. It will make no difference if it's left out. Bang it in when you get one.
