Cap and Resistor values on the Superfuzz

On the BYOC Leeds fuzz, the little cap between the base of Q2 and the power rail is .0022uf, whereas it appears to be .001uf on some other schematics I've seen.  I have also seen some schematics with the resistor to ground just before the output valued at 100K and, alternately, 150K.  what difference would these different values make?  I am guessing that the increased cap value off the base of Q2 contributes to lower noise...am I right?  But the resistor near the output still confuses me.

the bigger cap lets a little more "bass" thru. not enough to be too significant.

the resistor at the output is most likely to limit the output level down some; 150k or 100k probably won't matter a whole lot, as the super fuzz should have plenty of balls on tap.

bigger resistor= slightly less output.

  The cap he is talking about is used to suppress treble and noise in the circuit. Increasing it does not increase bass response in the circuit, it decreases treble. The other resistor is not in series so again its the opposite of what you are suggesting. Increasing it would potentially increase the output as its interaction with the output cap would lower the frequency of the low pass. Superfuzzes have large 10uf output caps though so it doesn't really matter too much if its 100K or 150K. Its basically a pull down resistor since the Superfuzz's volume control is before the recovery stage, not after it like most guitar effects.
