Imagine what that could do in a 9V block package. Or a bigger one - that would make battery pack power supplies for an entire board a very interesting idea. Keep the adapter connection, when you're running low (or just before a gig) switch the adapter on for a minute to charge the pack and enjoy hours of the quietest possible power supply performance.
