Has anyone tweaked an Ernie Ball Wah pedal? A quick search didn't turn up much other than those for sale.

The EB volume pedal is built like a tank, and the wah appears to be built just as well. Trouble is, the various sound bytes and YouTube clips don't sound as if I would like it. So, has anyone invested any time with these? If so, please share your experiences.

Thanks.

the mystery pedal. these came out around 5 years ago, yet we almost never hear anyone using them or talking about them.

blues scareceno gets a good tone out of one in a video demo. but i agree, most samples sound pretty sterile.
also agree that the construction and design is topnotch.
if somebody has one, let us know what is inside, please.

IIRC it's an inductor based wah circuit with an added buffer? I seem to remember this from somewhere, but I can't find it now. If you're willing to trace it you could probably get some nice sounds out of it with a few tweaks.

got one in for repair today. scratchy pot. customer disassembled just enough to have a spring go flying, that is when he called me.

can't find any info about a replacement pot anywhere, not even the official EB website.  wha?

will call the nice folks at ERnie B tomorrow, wish me luck. :icon_mrgreen:

Small Bear's got some Ernie Ball pots, though they're intended for the volume pedals. Is the one you need different from those?

that is what i am trying to find out. i can take the wah apart, but that still may not tell me if it is the same pot as their vol ped since i do not own any other ernie ball pedals to compare.

update. just got off the phone with EB, they do not stock the part as a replacement part. they recommend my customer send it in for service, $55 to $ 75 plus shipping. sounds good to me.
