hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone ever used pink wire? if so, where can i find it? Theres also the problem of gauge and mm2. I normally use: 0.25 mm2, diameter 1,2 mm. Buying 100 meter at once is not a problem, but I can only find thicker wire for car electronics.

Pink was always the standard equipment wire insulation colour...  I do not know why...   RS is a good start I reckon...

This (PVC):   http://nl.rs-online.com/web/p/hookup-equipment-wire/7125349/
Or this (teflon)- OUCH!!!:  http://nl.rs-online.com/web/p/harsh-environment-wire/5268015/     (this one comes in 25M rolls also)

PS costs about double this down under... :(

Bitsbox in the UK has pink wire.  They ship to NL, but you might want to make up a reasonably-sized order to avoid the postage being disproportionately high.

This is the wire I use. Great for pedal work. I found the insulation around the Bitsbox cable melts when you solder it, but the stuff from Rapid doesn't.

I love using this wire so much I've bought several of the colours!

It's not used in the resistor colour code scheme. This means you can use colour coded ident sleeves and they show up easily against the wire.
At least, that's why I've always assumed pink wire is used a lot.

If you're in the USA, www.bulkwire.com sells a violet colored wire.
