Can't find a particular and rather peculiar pot set-up that I'm looking for, and so I'm considering a MacGuyver style hot-rodding. So the quetion--

How badly will I affect the current draw if I jump the lugs 1 and 3 of a 250k pot to create a 25k pot. Particularly concerned about doing this because running off two parallel 9V's in my setup.

Thanks!

Not remotely enough information for anyone to answer this. is it a variable resistor or voltage divider? What circuit is it in? What's its function in that circuit? Got a schematic? You need to add some context here.

If you connect a 27KΩ resistor across lugs 1 and 3 of the 250KΩ pot you will "make" a 25K pot.

But...I agree with midwayfair, the two parallel 9V part is throwing me!

Best to post what you are working on.
I just designed a new fuzz circuit! It almost sounds a little different than the last fifty fuzz circuits I designed! ;)
