The more obsessed with this hobby I become the more I realize I think I'm cut out for the non electronic/tenchnical aspect of things....not going to school for electronics helps that I suppose. So once I sell a couple pedals to friends to fund more purchases I think it might be time to give powder coating a try... I have a compressor, toaster oven, outdoor space so really I just need the gun and powder..... seeing as these projects won't have to stand up to environmental conditions (like car/bike parts getting killed with road salt)...I'm guessing you may not need the top of the line gear to do this....though you don't want crap either.... has anybody got a set up at home? Recommend a quality level of gun? I've seen kits from $100 to $500+ dollars. I'm thinking I wouldn't go over $200.
This video was pretty good...I'm thinking no need for a sand blaster to do enclosures.

I bought this one to try and get into it: http://www.harborfreight.com/10-30-psi-powder-coating-system-94244.html  I haven't even unboxed it yet so I can't vouch for it's quality, but you can't beat the price.

well get on it before I come steal it! It has a foot pedal...its like they know we are the ones looking at it!

i got one of the cheap ones. $150. no problems!

well... i dropped it and it snapped... you'll probably drop it a few times until you learn (as best you can) not to touch the high voltage charged end :D          anyway. glued and taped it together.

try to think of a clever way to be able to spray them (earthed well) and transfer them into your oven without touching the sides. a toaster oven was a bit of a pain for me and my friend ended up giving me their kitchen oven.
Blood, Sweat & Flux. Pedals made with lasers and real wires!
