Hi all, troubleshooting another pedal. I built this Timmy OD clone from tagboard fx (http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.com/2012/03/paul-cochrane-timmy.html) and get no signal from it, whether bypassed or not. Here's a link to a schematic: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_y4AYtND8Hz8/SDNMRfHYKEI/AAAAAAAAALI/LjTrmxycb4c/s1600-h/tream2ed5.png)
My only changes are that I'm using electrolytics for the 1uF caps.

I've traced the voltages through with a DMM, here's what I've got:
IC1 (LM1458)
1: 5.40     5: 5.29
2: 6.18     6: 5.42
3: 2.55     7: 5.47
4: 0.00     8: 9.57

D1
A: 5.41
K: 5.31
D2
A: 5.31
K: 5.41
D3
A: 5.31
K: 6.18
D4
A: 6.18
K: 5.31

I probed around elsewhere in the circuit and found that the voltage at where the 1uF cap joins to Volume 3 is 0 volts. I originally had the cathode for this cap toward pin 7 of IC1, but turned it around and still no luck. I'm thinking I should switch to non-polarised caps, cos in every other circuit I look at, the cathode of electrolytics always has a connection to ground. Is it wrong to use electrolytics in these parts of the circuit?

Never mind. I replaced the 1uF electrolytic with another, but the right way around this time. I must have killed the other one by putting it in the wrong way. All working wonderfully, now!  :D
